The art continues to be very good (especially the planet during the Time Agency mission) when compared to other Torchwood comics.

However, I feel that the characters and plot are a step-down compared to the first volume. It is mostly an action and plot packed volume so there isn’t a lot of character moments.

And the plot is definitely packed…to the point of being confusing at times. I don’t know if more issues should have been made or if some of the plot lines should have been simplified but I feel that some of what should have been big reveals fall flat amid the next big threat or reveal. For example, was the plot line about all volcanoes erupting necessary to increase the stakes? Shouldn’t John Hart running away with a TARDIS be a big deal?

Let’s hope the last volume has a tighter plot!

I definitely liked vol. 1 better, mainly because this one consisted mainly of action and fight scenes which I find hard to follow in comics in general. So I have to admit, I have no clue what’s going on at the moment. Let’s see how this story ends in the next volume.
I do like the art a lot though!
