Estelle –
This is a welcome continuation of Jack’s story post-Battle of the Game Station. It is a very satisfying one not only in terms of plot but also in terms of character development. When you know what’s happened/about to happen to Jack, some of it is downright heartbreaking.
One of the strong points of this audio is the character portrayal. The new characters are engaging and round and you quickly root for them or their downfall (accordingly). None leaves you indifferent.
Overall, it is a very good story with very good characters that fills a hole in a well-known character’s story-line. A must-have for any Jack Harkness fan.

I really liked this story, I would not mind to listen to more stories set in this time. I like the character of Silo a lot. While Jack does not appear much in the first half of the story, it’s important to set up the story and I think it was done in a very fast paced entertaining way. I always wondered how Jack would do after being left behind and I was kinda reliefed to see him angry, confused and scared and not just rolling with it. And how he refuses to be called a hero. Aw, so in denial. 😉

I loved getting to know more of Jack’s backstory of after he got left behind on the Game Station and it was also cool to see the after effects of that battle on the earth!! The other characters involved all added to the plot well and are well developed. It did make me sad about Jack (but then that happens a lot) especially cause at this point we know about his immortality but he doesn’t and seeing his attitude towards what happened and his complete denial that he is at all heroic was really interesting (and painful).
