This audio drama takes one line from the TV show and creates a thrilling Jason Bourne-like story.
From the beginning, you get a growing sense that something is wrong and then, when all is revealed, it is a fun romp (in every sense) with nice twists.
This is also a prime scenario to explore the evolution of Jack’s character. I mean, after this story, you get how a young Jack could get along so well with John Hart. What I appreciated is that, even though he is a brash, smug brat, Jack is still portrayed as smart and savvy.
This is what this story offers: a complex character in a neat adventure story that fills a gap in canon.

Hi, yes, this is one of my favorite audios from Big Finish. I don’t know what it is, but maybe I’m just basic and love Jack, but I want more of Javic Thane. Honestly, it’s kinda refreshing to find out that Javic was awful, arrogant, and just bratty and selfish even if he still possess the same cunning that our Jack does. I did enjoy the storyline actually, even if I wished there was some more insight into what exactly Javic got up to in the time that was erased from his memories. I mean, you kind of get a gist, but I could have prefered it a bit more explicit. Anyways, this audio is amazing and quite predictably what Jack Harkness would do in a scenario when faced with himself.

Last story of the box set and turns out it was the most interesting! The hour just flew by. Of course I always wanted to know about those two missing years and I think the story delivered. It’s important to say that this one should be listened to unspoiled. Which I thank fully was. I liked the idea that we learned Jack’s real name through this story… Most interesting thing was to learn more about the Time Agency. I would love to hear more stories from that time.
