Description
Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper must work with the alien tech-filled ship Ice Maiden to stop the alien Navigators in their plot to “compost” the Earth – but first they must deal with the duplicitious Lady Karina, the roguish Captain John Hart, and a clone like nothing they’ve seen before!

What I really like about Torchwood is that it is Earthbound. And in that sense, this is much more of a Doctor Who story than a Torchwood story. Everything is highly futuristic and/or alien. Even the crew of the Ice Maiden gets a sci-fi kind of origin story in this issue.
As for the plot itself, even though it feels less rushed than the previous issues, it still feels like too much is packed in this story. As a result, the action prevails over character exploration.
All this is served by really nice and dynamic art and there are many fun one liners that go along with the action.

I liked this one better than Vol.2 the story is more focused on one storyline again which helps following the story a lot. All in all it definitely could have been a bit better. The ideas where all great, maybe it was just a bit too much for only three volumnes. Loved the art and the overall interaction of the characters.
