Big Finish picks up the events after Miracle Day with Torchwood: Aliens Among Us…
Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper have restarted Torchwood. But it’s in a very different Cardiff. Something terrible’s happened to the city. With every day getting darker, will Torchwood need to adopt a whole new approach?
A Kill to View
Ritz Towers is a luxury tower block so exclusive not even aliens can get a place there. Mr Colchester has somehow secured a flat at the Ritz. With the streets increasingly troubled, his husband feels safe there. The problem is that Ritz Towers is anything but safe.
For a start, the building has more tenants than it has flats. Then there are the endless dinner parties. The whole new definition of upwardly mobile. And finally, there is the very mysterious caretaker.

This is a nice character exploration for Mr Colchester, who is rapidly becoming my favourite character – and the only Torchwood member (with Orr) that doesn’t get on my nerves. He’s tender with his loved ones yet ruthless when threatened. He’s long-suffering yet highly competent. He also seems to have a genuine stable healthy relationship with his husband, which is probably a first in Torchwood history!
The plot is very High-Rise meets Torchwood and Bilis Manger is, as ever, the perfect conductor! What a pleasure to have him back and as mysterious and creepy as ever!
This brings me to the performances: Bilis, Mr Colchester, Colin…they are all brilliant! And, with such great actors, I’m really happy that, so far, this second box-set appears to be more character-driven than the first one!

LOVE the insight it gives to Colchester, LOVE Colin, love everything about it. Except Bilis. Bilis is not nice, and therefore… I cannot love him.

I absolutely LOVE this story. Colchester and Colin at the forefront makes me so happy. Bilis is incredible as ever.
