Description
From zombies in Restoration London, to Hell gatecrashing a funeral, rogue Time Agent Captain John Hart leads the universe to rack and ruin in four new adventures written by David Llewellyn.
Escape from Nebazz
Captain John is in a wooden space prison that’s under attack by a strange and terrible life form. Also the catering is truly dreadful and Dr Magpie’s latest discovery may have got a little out of hand.
Estelle –
This second episode is a solid one. As in the first episode, the scenes where they embrace the absurd of it all are the scenes that work best for me.
Once again, the supporting characters are really really good. In particular, Connor Calland gives a great performance as Grimble: he had me both creeped out and laughing out loud in the span of this episode.
No matter how much fun Captain John and Captain Jack can be together (*winks*), I realised at the end that I was glad that they let John Hart do the heavy lifting in the first two episodes before fully involving Jack Harkness. I think it’s a good way to reacquaint ourselves with this mad character before throwing in a much more familiar figure.
Still, I can’t say I’m not excited to see where they take these two next!
