Orr is desperate to get to Voloshnik. The city’s sealed off in the middle of a war the world’s forgotten. There has to be someone left to save.

The first three episodes of this box-set first feel a bit weird / disconnected after the previous box-set that had The Child (i.e. the main plot of this series) in each episode.
Still, I really liked this first episode, especially how much agency Orr had. For this reason only, it was a good idea to have Orr be separated from the rest of Torchwood.
Even though the plot is a bit predictable at times, the pacing of the stories is great and both main actors give great performances for their compelling characters.
(And, with respect to my first remark, this episode actually pays off really nicely in the last episode of the box-set.)
