Sergeant Andy Davidson has always wanted to join Torchwood. And now he finally gets his chance.
Under the strict observation of his Torchwood Assessor, Andy sets out to prove he’s got what it takes. When a chemical spill turns out to have serious consequences, when monsters roam the Bay, and when an ancient entity awakes, Andy decides he could do with a helping hand. The problem is his Torchwood Assessor doesn’t have any hands. Norton Folgate is a ghost.

This audio gets 5 stars if only because it introduces Norton Folgate into the Torchwood universe. Norton is an intriguing character that is very hard to pin down and from which you learn to expect the unexpected.
Paired with “nice guy” Andy Davidson, sparks fly with witty dialogues, wonderful lines and perfect timing. Both actors are amazing in their roles and have a thrilling chemistry together. You end the audio wanting more Andy & Norton adventures (coming soon from Big Finish productions…).
I must admit I barely remember the plot but it doesn’t matter. This is very much an audio about the characters, their banter and sometimes their unexpected heart-to-hearts…and it more than delivers!

Ghost Mission is so much fun! It was fun the first time through and it’s still fun to listen to now (and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to it).
Norton is such an interesting character and putting Andy and Norton together for this was a great idea! The characters work well together and the way their dialogue played off the other was nice. I loved the slight disconnects due to the time difference (like explaining GCSEs, smartphones, and emojis). There was a nice balance between Andy and Norton (as in Andy could physically do things and knew more about the modern world while Norton knew more in general about the situation but wasn’t able to directly interfere). The acting was also really good!
It also ties in well to the whole Committee arc but it’s great on its own, too!

I always loved Andy on the show and he has such a nice voice, so it was a no-brainer to get “Ghost Mission” on CD. But I did NOT expect this be so great! So much fun, I kept laughing out loud throught. And I can’t believe how great Norton Folgate is I cannot WAIT to get the other Big Finish releases he participates in. Such a great character!

This was the first Torchwood audio I listened to and I love it so much, it’s amazing!! Andy and Norton are such a great pairing and work really well together. It’s great to see more of Andy as he obviously doesn’t have much screen time in the show and it’s a great introduction of Norton’s character who immediately became one of my favourite characters after listening to this.
It’s such a fun audio, I laughed so much listening to it and its definitely one I’ll be listening to again.
