This story is a good one. The plot is very suspenseful and the way it is approached and paced in terms of story structure is really great. I found Adam’s end goal and the outcome quite predictable but the way we get to that outcome is where the tension is and it is really well done.

I love hearing more about the Torchwood Institute of this era. Just like in the Torchwood One range, the Torchwood Institute really feels like a complex organisation with its own quirks and power struggles. The sound design especially makes it feel more real. And I always enjoy learning more about the (past or future) history of the Torchwood Institute.

The characters (and the actors) really shine and, just like for the Institute itself, I love hearing more about the characters from this era. The relationship between Lizbeth and Norton is complex and fascinating to listen to and how it is developed here is probably my favourite thing about the audio. Especially their little private joke that is adorable and ends up being very much plot relevant!

This one is really good and well paced, I think the highlight overall is Lizbeth and Norton’s relationship!
