As one of only three audios on Lives of Captain Jack Vol. 2, which I waited so eagerly to purchase, this one was really disappointing to me. For one, Jack actually barely has a role or any true involvement other than just driving Trinity around. I do think storyline-wise, I could have enjoyed it if it was marketed as a regular Torchwood or Doctor Who audio, but as it was specifically a Jack one, I had higher expectations for more Jack. Additionally, I am still quite confused by the last five minutes, which basically just flipped everything that we had taken for granted throughout the story. So uhhhhh, I can’t say that I actually know what happened. Still, it’s okay for a one-time listen and really reminds me of that Black Mirror episode with the killer bees? Is that what it is?

Jack was really cute! His butler-like chauffeur persona was adorable. He was so sweet and kind, and I enjoyed that aspect.
However, the rest of the audio is not something I’m comfortable listening to at all. So my personal tastes are perhaps showing in this review a bit, and I can’t accurately rate the story. I’m sure it was decent, but again… not something I enjoy. At all.
But cute Jack!!

This is more of a Trinity Wells audio than a Jack audio so if you’re buying this range for Jack character work you might be disappointed.
However, if it doesn’t have a lot of Jack, the main character is compelling and the plot very interesting. The end was a surprise to me.
All in all, I had a really good time listening to it!

The one minus point I give because this story does not include enough Jack, otherwise I found it an excellent story that kept my attention from start to finish. I can’t really remember Miss Wells from the show, but I found her very intriguing and she was a good lead for the story. I loved the story and how we could never be sure if she is just losing her mind or if she is right. Maybe I won’t relisten to this one as often as the rest, but the quality of the story was very good.
