Captains John and Jack find themselves stranded on a world that may be actual paradise – the weather is pleasant, the people are friendly, and the giant stuffed animals only come out at night. There’s only one thing the world is missing. No-one has ever explained to any of the population about the birds and the bees. Which is unfortunate.

This is the Jack & John episode and, as expected, it’s a fun one!
I really liked Jack’s characterisation in this: he’s curious, investigative and, even though he isn’t the man changed by the Doctor, you see glimpses of the man he will become.
The plot is somewhat interesting but I was more interested in the situations and moral dilemmas it provided for our protagonists than in the intrigue itself.
Still, good characterisation and the chemistry between the two captains, as well as parsimonious fourth wall breaking and excellent sound and music editing, make it a very enjoyable episode.
