I love Rowena Cooper as Queen Victoria so much! She’s delightful, strong-willed and the bad-ass Monarch of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India. Paired with the cheeky Captain Jack Harkness, she is resourceful and determined when embarking on an alien hunt.

The script delivers witty dialogues between the two characters, touching character moments (in turns sad and heart-warming) and a solid plot that ends in the most satisfying way.

This one didn’t really work for me that well. Jack and the Queen basically were just hunting down a creature which ran havoc all over London. Especially the beginning was quite bumpy and felt kinda awkward, but it got better after a while and I started to enjoy their conversations. I guess this is just not my favorite team-up. But I did like the setting in this time period.
